Our Farm
Smart Farms Angus is a 4th generation family farm owned and operated by Dale and Lynn Smart and their son Derek Smart. The farm is located NE of Moosomin SK on the corner of the 709 and 600 grid. Its made up of 200 purebred Black Angus females which compliments their 2500 acre grain operation and 600 acres of native and tame pasture land.
Rancher
Derek finished his Bachelor of Science at the University of Saskatchewan in 2009, with a major in Animal Science and a minor in Ag-Business. Since then he has returned home to farm and gain valuable experience in the business. He has been able to expand his herd and produce superier Black Angus seedstock which has allowed him to be able to host the Working Stiff Bull Sale at Smart Farms in the recent years.
